What is a senior presentation designer?

A Senior Presentation Designer is a creative professional who specializes in designing high-quality, visually compelling presentations for businesses, executives, and organizations. They use graphic design principles and software tools like PowerPoint, Keynote, or Google Slides to transform complex information into clear, engaging visual formats. Beyond basic slide design, they often collaborate with stakeholders to develop storytelling strategies and ensure that presentations effectively communicate key messages. Senior Presentation Designers also mentor junior designers and may establish best practices for presentation standards within a company.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a senior presentation designer?

To thrive as a Senior Presentation Designer, you need advanced graphic design skills, a strong eye for visual storytelling, and expertise in presentation software like PowerPoint or Keynote, often supported by a degree in design or a related field. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, animation tools, and familiarity with brand guidelines are typically required. Creativity, attention to detail, and strong communication skills help you interpret complex information and collaborate effectively with stakeholders. These abilities ensure the delivery of visually compelling, brand-consistent presentations that engage audiences and clearly communicate key messages.

How does a senior presentation designer typically collaborate with stakeholders during the development of high-impact presentations?

Senior Presentation Designers often work closely with executives, marketing teams, and subject matter experts to understand the message, objectives, and target audience of each presentation. They participate in brainstorming sessions, gather feedback on drafts, and adapt visual storytelling techniques to align with brand guidelines and strategic goals. Effective collaboration requires strong communication skills, the ability to translate complex information into compelling visuals, and flexibility to iterate designs based on stakeholder input. This role frequently involves managing multiple projects and balancing creative vision with organizational requirements.

Job description

Company Overview

Docusign brings agreements to life. Over 1.5 million customers and more than a billion people in over 180 countries use Docusign solutions to accelerate the process of doing business and simplify people's lives. With intelligent agreement management, Docusign unleashes business-critical data that is trapped inside of documents. Until now, these were disconnected from business systems of record, costing businesses time, money, and opportunity. Using Docusign's Intelligent Agreement Management platform, companies can create, commit, and manage agreements with solutions created by the #1 company in e-signature and contract lifecycle management (CLM).

What you'll do

The Sr. Brand Designer, Events will be a core member of Docusign's Brand & Creative team, responsible for bringing our brand to life across Tier-1 external events and key strategic partner moments. You will lead event-focused brand design from concept through execution, creating high-impact, cohesive visual systems and experiences that connect our Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) story to customers, prospects, and partners across the globe. This role sits at the intersection of experiential design, marketing, and storytelling, owning the visual expression of Docusign at events like Momentum, Regional Momentums and Momentum on Tour, Dreamforce, GKO, Discover, and priority partner programs such as CLOC and Ignite.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Group Creative Director, Brand + Marketing.

Responsibility

  • Lead end-to-end creative strategy and visual concepting for Tier-1 external events, defining themes, narratives, and audience-specific stories in partnership with PMM, Brand, and Events stakeholders

  • Translate event strategies into high-fidelity designs for digital, environmental, experiential, and marketing touchpoints (e.g., signage, wayfinding, stage design, expo/experiential zones, registration experiences, executive summits)

  • Own the first round of all key event assets (onsite and pre-event) to ensure consistent brand stewardship, then collaborate with vendors for production and installation

  • Partner closely with the Presentation Designer, Events and PMM to shape keynote creative direction, ensuring visual storytelling, animation, and supporting content ladder up to a unified event narrative

  • Develop scalable asset toolkits and templates for breakout sessions, executive meetings, and supplementary presentations, enabling internal teams and vendors to move quickly while maintaining brand consistency

  • Provide day-to-day creative direction to external agencies and production partners, reviewing and approving iterations, ensuring they meet Docusign's quality bar and adhere to brand guidelines

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Brand & Creative, Events, PMM, Product Design, Sales, and Executive Communications) to ensure that event experiences, demos, and content feel cohesive and on-brand

  • Concept and design swag, premium items, and small-scale activations that extend the event narrative and leave a lasting brand impression

  • Contribute to and evolve Docusign's experiential design system for events, documenting patterns and best practices that can scale across regions and event tiers

  • Manage multiple concurrent event projects, timelines, and stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced environment, consistently balancing quality, speed, and feasibility

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. Preferred job designations are not guaranteed when changing positions within Docusign. Docusign reserves the right to change a position's job designation depending on business needs and as permitted by local law.

What you bring

Basic

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 8+ years of experience as a Brand, Experiential, or Visual Designer, with a strong portfolio of event, environmental, and campaign work for technology or brand-led companies

  • Experience crafting event-specific visual narratives and thematic systems that connect complex product stories to real customer outcomes

  • Experience with core design tools, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Figma, and presentation tools (Keynote, PowerPoint, Google Slides) as well as experience using AI to accelerate and scale your work

  • Experience translating abstract strategies and technical concepts into clear, compelling visuals for diverse audiences

  • Experience partnering with and art-directing agencies, production vendors, and freelance creatives to deliver integrated event experiences at scale

Preferred

  • Comfort working closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams; you can synthesize feedback quickly and push the work toward a sharper, more distinctive expression

  • High bar for craft, typography, layout, and systems thinking, with attention to the details that make large-scale experiences feel polished and intentional

  • Strong project management and communication skills; you can manage multiple timelines, dependencies, and production details without losing sight of the big-picture story

  • A curiosity about IAM and enterprise customer needs, and a desire to help define how Docusign shows up at some of the most important events in our category
