Description

Dalton Ag is a brand forged in America's heartland and proud to be the premier fertilizer application equipment manufacturer since 1996.

As a paint/powder coating technician, you will be responsible for sanding, masking, and cleaning parts in preparation for powder coating operations. Technician is also responsible for performing sand-blasting and powder-coating techniques following written and verbal instructions while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare sandblasting,      paint, or powder coating metal parts by sanding, masking, and cleaning
  • Complete sand-blasting      and powder coat operations within a given time frame and according to      written and verbal specifications.
  • Inspect components      during and after processing to ensure quality standards.
  • Assist in maintenance,      cleaning, and repair of equipment as assigned.
  • Keep all work areas,      including the staging area, clean and organized

Set up and operate a blast booth or similar equipment

Load and unload the blast cabinet

Apply and remove non-skid materials as needed

  • Ability to learn      procedures, tasks, and operations through on-site training from a senior      member of the staff.
  • Ability to follow both      verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to maintain      consistent attendance.
  • Ability to maintain      consistent quality of work performed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

High school diploma or General education degree

1 or more years of manufacturing experience preferred

  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to read, write and      use basic math skills 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude      with the ability to follow precise instructions
  • Ability to communicate      effectively with peers, managers and across departments

Working Conditions:

Manufacturing environment

Daily exposure to hot, cold, dusty, noisy environment

Occasional to frequent outdoor work

Potential to work at different area workstations to meet production needs
