About the Role:
Are you passionate about telecommunications infrastructure and eager to make a significant impact? CACI's Enterprise IT (EIT) Sector is looking for a talented Senior Network Plant Engineer (ISP/OSP) to join our innovative team in support of an Air Force Modernization program. This is your chance to be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology and contribute to critical Air Force operations.
What You'll Do:
As a Senior Network Plant Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and maintaining both inside plant (ISP) and outside plant (OSP) telecommunications infrastructure for Air Force facilities. Your expertise in fiber optics, copper cabling, testing technologies, and wireless/network equipment will ensure robust and reliable communication systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project managers, network engineers, and field technicians to ensure the successful deployment and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Oversee the operations, maintenance, and documentation of physical fiber and copper cable plants, power connections, conduits, patch panels, and OSP drawings.
  • Conduct site surveys and document current site ISP/OSP configurations.
  • Develop and optimize the design of supporting infrastructure in alignment with design documentation.
  • Ensure all installations are performed within safety standards and work site conditions, including restoration of the site to original or better condition.
  • Lead and support deployment teams for survey, installation, testing, and QA activities.

Qualifications We're Looking For:
  • University Degree (BA/BS) and 7+ years of related work experience OR High School diploma or associate degree plus a minimum of 10 years performing as a cable plant engineer on large, complex programs.
  • Familiarity with Air Force and industry telecommunications regulations and standards.
  • Must currently hold U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
  • Strong knowledge of fiber optics, copper cabling, and wireless technologies.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD and/or Visio) for documenting network layouts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

The proposed salary range for this position is:
