Catalyst Brands Creative Services & Operations is the team responsible for driving and owning the content supply chain that powers our six iconic brands. We deliver high-quality creative content across every brand and every channel - ensuring efficiency, consistency, and innovation throughout the process.
Role Overview
The Sr. Specialist, Image Quality & Post-Production supports post-production operations and image quality across Catalyst Brands' creative photography, including eCommerce, marketing, editorial, social, and brand content.
This role is responsible for coordinating the flow of assets through post-production, ensuring image quality, managing routing and delivery, and partnering with internal creative teams, producers, photographers, and external vendors to deliver high-quality assets on time.
The Sr. Specialist combines strong creative judgment with operational excellence, balancing visual quality, workflow coordination, production timelines, and cross-functional communication across multiple brands and channels.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1. Image Review & Quality Control
• Conduct detailed QA of marketing and editorial imagery to ensure visual consistency, accurate color, retouching quality, and alignment with creative direction.
• Review and annotate images for corrections or enhancements before release.
• Validate that files meet brand and technical specifications for multiple channels (web, print, digital, social).
• Partner with the QA Manager and retouching vendors to ensure timely revisions and approvals.
2. Post-Production Operations & Asset Coordination
• Coordinate daily movement of photography assets through the post-production lifecycle, ensuring priorities and deadlines are maintained.
• Monitor workload, delivery schedules, and post-production queues to proactively identify risks or bottlenecks.
• Support production teams by tracking asset status, routing priorities, and delivery milestones.
• Escalate timeline risks or workflow issues to production leadership as needed.
• Manage daily routing of images through post-production and DAM systems (Letsflo, Pixelz, Sitecore DAM).
• Ensure all files are named, tagged, and archived accurately according to Catalyst taxonomy and metadata standards.
• Collaborate with the DAM/Tech team to troubleshoot any issues in asset delivery or file ingestion.
• Maintain clear communication with retouching vendors and studio teams on delivery timelines and requirements.
3. Creative & Vendor Collaboration
• Serve as the operational link between the creative team (Art/Creative Directors) and post-production vendors.
• Translate creative feedback into actionable retouching notes with clarity and precision.
• Provide reference materials, markup guidance, and QA checklists to vendors to ensure consistency across campaigns.
• Participate in creative reviews and color-approval sessions as needed.
4. Production Coordination & Workflow Management
• Coordinate multiple concurrent post-production projects across brands, channels, and business partners.
• Maintain visibility into project status, priorities, approvals, and delivery timelines.
• Support Producers and Creative Operations with asset tracking, scheduling, and production communications.
• Help balance workloads across internal teams and external partners.
• Participate in production meetings, status reviews, and workflow planning sessions.
Workflow & Process Improvement
• Identify recurring QA or routing issues and recommend workflow improvements.
• Contribute to documentation of post-production SOPs, naming conventions, and QA guidelines.
• Partner with the Creative Operations Analyst to track throughput, turnaround times, and SLA performance.
• Support implementation of new AI or automation tools for image QA and visual enhancement testing.
5. Cross-Team Collaboration
• Partner closely with Producers, Creative Operations, Photo Studios, Merchandising, Marketing, DAM, Creative teams, and external partners to ensure seamless movement of assets throughout the content supply chain.
• Act as a central point of communication for post-production status, approvals, and delivery updates.
• Provide feedback to offshore Image Quality + AI Production Artists to guide consistency and QA accuracy.
• Collaborate with Photo Studio and Post Vendors to maintain delivery cadence and meet publishing deadlines.
Qualifications
• 3-5 years of experience in post-production, retouching management, or image QA, ideally within fashion, retail, or creative agency environments.
• Deep understanding of image composition, lighting, color correction, and retouching standards.
• Strong technical knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Capture One, and related tools.
• Proven ability to collaborate with Art Directors and external retouching vendors.
• Experience managing image workflows across DAM and studio production systems (Letsflo/Shotflow, Pixelz, Sitecore DAM).
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in file management, metadata, and quality control.
• Excellent communication skills - able to translate creative language into operational direction.
• Comfortable balancing creative intent with process efficiency in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment.
Preferred Experience
• Familiarity with AI-based image QA or generative tools (e.g., Firefly, Midjourney, Caimera, Runway).
• Background in fashion, editorial, or brand storytelling content.
• Understanding of digital and print production requirements for marketing imagery.
• Experience working with distributed or offshore teams.

• On-time delivery of approved campaign imagery with zero critical errors.
• Positive feedback from creative stakeholders and retouching vendors.
• Reduction in rework through clearer feedback and process improvements.
• High compliance with file naming, metadata, and DAM routing standards.
