Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Senior Data Analyst

What you'll do:
As a Senior Enterprise Risk Management Analyst you'll execute the strategy of the Bank's Enterprise and Operational Risk Management Framework by driving technology risk reporting and analytics. You'll play a key role in establishing Operational Risk Management programs with a focus on the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), including assisting in maturing the methodology and standards. You'll establish strong partnerships and collaborate with Business Units across the First Line of Defense (FLOD) to identify risks and controls, review control design and descriptions. Provide guidance to the FLOD on development of effective controls to mitigate key risks.
  • Identify potential risks across the organization, including operational, financial, and strategic risks by analyzing technology risk datasets (operational loss, compliance, financial exposures) to identify trends and emerging risks, offering validated, data-driven insights to senior management.
  • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that deliver actionable technology risk insights to business partners and leadership.
  • Support the integration of key Information Technology (IT), Information Security (IS), Third Party (TP), and Data Management (DM) data sources to risk monitoring reporting platforms.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities in reporting to enhance workflow efficiency and consistency; document and refine processes regularly..
  • Conduct assessments of 1LOD functions by using industry-standard frameworks such as COBIT, NIST, ITIL, DCAM, and DMBOK, along with applicable regulations, to provide guidance on requirements concerning processes, controls, and key metrics (KRIs and KPIs).
  • Serve as a technology and data management risk expert on committees and working groups, fostering strong internal relationships.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls, ensuring alignment with the organization's risk appetite.
  • Work with the FLOD to provide guidance and effective challenge for operational risks assessments and collaborate with teams across the organization.

What you'll need:
  • 2+ years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or risk analytics within financial services or similar industry.
  • 4+ years of related experience in Risk Management, Internal Audit, Finance (GL Mgmt., Public Reporting, Analysis) or similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or 4+ years of direct work experience required.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard frameworks such as COBIT, NIST, ITIL, DCAM, and DMBOK, along with applicable regulations such as FFIEC.
  • Experience with data visualization and analytics (Power BI) required.
  • Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
  • General knowledge of banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • General knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • General knowledge of industry and professional experience across one or more of the three lines of defense (e.g., compliance, risk management, information technology, or audit).
  • General knowledge of Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) including controls testing methodology.
