Sr. ServiceNow Developer


Position Overview:


As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you will lead the configuration, development, support, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver digital transformation solutions, focusing on automated workflows, Service Catalog request fulfillment, and core ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, etc.).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation, configuration, and support of ServiceNow modules including ITSM, OMT, TSM, TSOM, and Workforce Management.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Forms, Workflows, Reports, Dashboards, Views, Groups, Roles, and scheduled reporting.
  • Build and manage integrations with tools such as Elastic, Netcool, Kafka, and other enterprise systems.
  • Support platform upgrades, data migration, and Configuration Management (CMDB) data quality and integration.
  • Customize and enhance the ServiceNow platform to meet business requirements, including UI/UX improvements.
  • Drive business process re-engineering and automation initiatives to transition ticketing and order management into ServiceNow.
  • Troubleshoot issues, orchestrate automated tasks, and resolve complex problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile Scrum environment to gather requirements, propose solutions, and deliver enhancements.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance across development projects.
  • Maintain high standards for documentation, coding best practices, and Configuration Management policies.


Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship and active DoD Secret Clearance required.
  • Active security certification meeting DoD 8570 IAT Level II (e.g., Security+) or higher (must obtain within 14 days of hire).
  • Ability to work full-time on-site at Scott AFB, IL, Ft. Meade, MD, or Ogden, UT.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience (or Master’s with 6–10 years). Equivalent experience may substitute for degree.
  • Minimum 6 years of infrastructure/technology development experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on ServiceNow development and upgrade experience.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to multi-task, self-prioritize, and collaborate effectively with virtual teams.


Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer.
  • ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent knowledge.
  • Experience with ServiceNow telecom modules (TSM, TNI, OMT).
  • Familiarity with Agile (Scrum/SAFe), JIRA, Git, Confluence, and DevOps/DevSecOps practices.
  • AWS Cloud or additional ServiceNow certifications.
  • Background in large-scale system migrations, test automation, CI/CD, and multi-disciplinary team environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
