We are seeking a seasoned .NET Developer with a strong background in Azure cloud services. This is a fully remote, full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy web applications, APIs, and backend solutions using the .NET framework and Azure cloud services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, and end users) to analyze and understand functional and non-functional requirements.
• Integrate Azure services and tools to optimize the application lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and enhancements. • Manage CI/CD pipelines using TFS and Octopus Deploy.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code. • Build PowerApps to enhance business processes and user experiences.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues.

Requirements

• US Citizen required.
• Must be able to attain low-level security clearance
• Ability to pass a federal background check successfully and maintain eligibility for continued access authorizations, including periodic drug screenings, granted by such a successful background check.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4-7 years of hands-on experience in full-stack .NET development focusing on Azure cloud solutions.
• Proficiency in the .NET framework, especially in ASP.NET Core, MVC, Entity Framework, and LINQ.
• Demonstrable experience with Azure services such as Azure Web Apps, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, and other associated Azure services.
• Hands-on experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines, especially with tools like Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Octopus Deploy.
• Practical experience in designing, building, and deploying applications using Microsoft PowerApps.
• Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks and libraries like Angular, React, or Vue.js.
• Solid experience with SQL database design, optimization, management, and querying techniques.
• Proficiency in developing, integrating, and managing RESTful APIs.
• Previous work in an agile environment and understanding of Scrum or other agile methodologies.
• In-depth knowledge of version control tools, preferably Git.
• Familiarity with web application security standards and protocols, including but not limited to OAuth, JWT, and secure coding best practices.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Desirable Skills

• Strong expertise in .NET Core, especially for web API development and integration.
• Strong understanding of Azure DevOps for CI/CD, automated testing, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience with Azure Cognitive Services for AI-driven features within applications.
• Familiarity with Blazor or other modern web development frameworks within the .NET ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience with Azure serverless architectures, including Azure Functions and Logic Apps.
• Knowledge of containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes, especially Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Proficiency in front-end development using TypeScript or modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Strong grasp of design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean coding practices.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and understanding OAuth2.0 and OpenID Connect protocols.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and its implementation in Azure.
• Knowledge of modern authentication and authorization mechanisms, including Azure Active Directory and Azure AD B2C.
• Ability to optimize application performance and scalability in the cloud environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential in this role.
• Ability to work independently, be a self-starter, and able to operate in a proactive way.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; logical thinker and intellectual curiosity
