Job description

This role contributes to the active management and oversight of investment portfolios by independently performing analysis, monitoring portfolio activity, and supporting decisionmaking aligned with defined investment strategies and risk parameters. The position applies solid professional judgment and market knowledge to address complex portfolio issues, partnering with senior portfolio professionals and crossfunctional teams to support portfolio performance, risk management, and continuous improvement.
Job Duties:
  • Independently analyze portfolio performance, asset allocation, risk exposures, and market impacts, providing insights and recommendations to portfolio leadership.
  • Support execution of investment strategies through portfolio modeling, scenario analysis, and rebalancing assessments.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities, strategies, or managers using established analytical frameworks and contribute informed perspectives to investment decisions.
  • Monitor portfolios for guideline compliance, concentration risk, and emerging issues, escalating and recommending actions as appropriate.
  • Prepare and present portfolio analysis, reporting, or materials for internal stakeholders, management, or governance forums.
  • Track and interpret market, economic, and industry developments to assess implications for portfolio strategy and positioning.
  • Partner with risk management, investment operations, and reporting teams to ensure accurate execution, controls, and transparency of portfolio activity.
  • Contribute to process enhancements, tool improvements, or analytical methodologies that strengthen portfolio management effectiveness.
  • Mentor or provide informal guidance to less experienced portfolio professionals as needed.
Essential Skills:
  • Required Education: Bachelor's degree in field relevant to role (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)
  • Required Experience: 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated professional experience in investment portfolio management, asset management, finance, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong understanding of portfolio construction, asset classes, risk concepts, and financial markets.
  • Proven ability to independently analyze complex data and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey analysis and recommendations clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with financial analysis tools, portfolio systems, and market data platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, and collaborate effectively across teams.
Location: Hillsboro Corporate Office - Hillsboro, OR 97124 (HYBRID)
Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR: $110,000 - $130,000 + annual bonus
