Preferred/Relevant Skills (Nice to Have)

1 Data Extraction, Transformation and Load - knowledge of how to extract, transform and load data; this would also involve obtaining and making available new data sources

2 Experience with Sybase IQ Database - Schema Designing and SQL Programming

3 Experience in working in Onsite-Offshore environment

1 Good communication (written & verbal English) skills

Job Description :

Purpose:

1. Should be able to interpret data models and usage of data modeling tools (ERWIN etc)

2. Knowledge on new features of the product and performance tuning

3. Working knowledge on some RDBMS

4. Gather business requirements, elicit technical requirements, prepare report specifications

5. Develop reports, cubes, dashboards, scorecards

6. Design, develop MSTR reports and integration with enterprise portals, mobile integration, write back to source data based on analysis by the business users, alerts via email, mobiles based on predefined events

7. Identify and design common functionality

8. Unit, Integration test the developed components

9. Promote components across dev, test and production environments

Work with project lead and business users to understand requirements, conduct analysis and recommend solution options

Translate customer project requirements into functional and non-functional specifications for BI reports and applications.

Contribute to and support the organization's Business Intelligence strategy

Development and deployment of BI Solutions

Work with internal resources during development phases to ensure appropriate knowledge transfer;

Develop, implement and maintain test strategies and plans

3. Be able to architect solutions on MSTR platform

4. Good conceptual knowledge and working experience on meta data creation, creating report specifications, integration test planning & testing, unit test planning & testing, UAT & implementation support

5. Strong knowledge of quality processes (SDLC, Review, Test, Configuration Management, Release Management, Defect Prevention

6. Good communication skills and comfortable in interacting directly with clients

7. Should be able to interpret data models and usage of data modeling tools (ERWIN etc)

8. Knowledge on new features of the product and performance tuning

9. Ability to contribute to proposals taking ownership of the BI/DW solution
