Role: Senior MERN Stack Engineer
Location: Newark, CA (Onsite)

About the Role
We are hiring a Senior MERN Stack Engineer on behalf of our client in Newark, CA. We are looking for a well-rounded full-stack engineer who excels at building beautiful, responsive UIs in React.js, developing enterprise-grade APIs in NestJS and Java, and designing performant database architectures. You will be a key contributor on a high-impact engineering team working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop responsive, pixel-perfect UI components using React.js with a strong focus on user experience and frontend performance
Build and maintain scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs using NestJS and Java (Spring Boot)
Architect and optimize relational and non-relational databases including MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MySQL
Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into clean, maintainable, production-ready code
Participate in code reviews, technical design sessions, and sprint planning
Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and QA engineers
Mentor junior engineers and uphold engineering best practices and clean code principles
Ensure application security, scalability, and reliability across all layers of the stack
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of professional software engineering experience across the full stack
React.js, Redux/Zustand, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind or Material UI — strong UI sensibility is a must

Frontend: 
NestJS (Node.js), Java (Spring Boot / Spring MVC)

Backend: 
MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL — schema design, indexing, query optimization. Databases: 
REST, GraphQL, JWT/OAuth 2.0 authentication and authorization APIs: 
Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile/scrum methodologies
Strong command of software design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean architecture
Nice to Have
Experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure cloud services
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized deployments
Microservices architecture experience
Prior work in a high-growth startup or enterprise product environment
Work Arrangement
This is a fully on-site role based at our client's office in Newark, CA. Candidates must be locally available and willing to commute daily.
