Job description

M&A Analyst Senior

Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 1-2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.

The M&A Analyst Sr is responsible for supporting the evaluation and execution of mergers, acquisitions and other corporate development initiatives. Responsibilities include financial modeling and valuation analyses, preparing presentation materials, and assisting transaction execution across target identification through diligence and close.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Owns and performs the financial modeling and development of the target projection model.
  • Conducts target valuation and financial return analysis (i.e., discounted cash flow analysis, accretion dilution analysis, ROIC analysis, etc.). Supports the due diligence processes.
  • Performs financial statement analysis and provides guidance, review, and analytical support to junior associates as needed.
  • Conducts industry, market, and competitor analysis to evaluate strategic fit, market attractiveness, competitive positioning, transaction activity, and valuation benchmarks for potential M&A opportunities

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting and a minimum of 2 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, transaction services, consulting, or similar; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Financial modeling skills required.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Experience supporting M&A due diligence workstreams, including financial, operational, commercial, legal, regulatory, and integration-related diligence
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies, and transaction process fundamentals
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High attention to detail.

For candidates working in person or virtually in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $103,576 to $169,488
