This role will be accountable for end-to-end performance of a sub category within the Gifts, Home Décor & Wall—from defining the value proposition and assortment strategy to driving site experience, pricing, and financial outcomes.

The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of product intuition, analytical rigor, and cross-functional leadership, with the ability to translate customer needs and market trends into winning product strategies.
What You’ll Own

Category Ownership
•    Own the end-to-end strategy and performance of a sub-category, including assortment, pricing, promotion, and site experience
•    Partner with marketing to define and evolve the customer value proposition for the category (who it’s for, why it wins, and how it shows up)
•    Deliver against revenue, margin, and growth targets, with clear accountability to category P&L performance
Product & Assortment Strategy
•    Set and lead the physical product strategy, including new product introduction (NPI), lifecycle management, and SKU rationalization
•    Develop assortment architecture and buy plans aligned to category strategy and business goals
•    Identify opportunities based on customer insights, competitive benchmarking, and performance trends, translating into actionable product decisions
•    Partner closely with Design to shape a cohesive, differentiated, and scalable assortment
Site & Channel Performance
•    Partner with ecomm team to drive how the category shows up across site, app, and marketing channels, ensuring strong merchandising, storytelling, and conversion
•    Understand channel-level performance (Email, Paid, App, etc.) and adjust assortment, pricing, and positioning accordingly
•    Act as the category expert on which products win in which channels
Cross-Functional Leadership
•    Lead and align cross-functional partners across Product Development, Design, UX, Engineering, Marketing, Pricing & Promo, and Operations
•    Drive category initiatives from concept through launch, ensuring readiness across all workstreams
•    Translate strategy into clear briefs, priorities, and execution plans for partner teams
Performance Management & Insights
•    Analyze business performance and translate data into clear insights, actions, and forward strategy
•    Partner with Merch Planning and Finance on forecasting, pricing strategy, and financial planning
•    Lead in-season management and post-launch hindsight, influencing future assortment and investment decisions
What You’ll Bring
•    7–10+ years of experience in merchandising, category management, or product-led eCommerce roles
•    Proven ability to own and grow a product category or sub-category end-to-end
•    Strong understanding of product development, design partnership, and assortment strategy
•    Demonstrated experience driving business performance (revenue, margin, conversion) through merchandising decisions
•    Excellent analytical skills with ability to translate data into strategic action
•    Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with experience working across Design, Product, Marketing, UX, and Operations
•    Passion for product, design, and customer experience

Preferred Qualifications
•    Experience in design-forward or personalized consumer products (e.g., gifts, home décor, stationery, apparel)
•    Experience managing category-level P&L or financial targets
•    Strong understanding of digital merchandising and conversion optimization
