For over 70 years Fishbeck has been building. As a 100% employee-owned firm, every team member has a stake in what we build together-our work, our reputation, and our future. Now we need to add a Senior Mechanical Engineer to help us keep building.
Working with our Mechanical Engineering team, you will work with a variety of multidisciplinary professionals on several different projects.
What You'll Do
  • Lead mechanical engineering design and technical execution for complex projects.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, and team assignments.
  • Serve as the primary client contact and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Provide technical oversight and ensure quality project deliverables.
  • Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, and civil disciplines.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Support business development through proposals, client meetings, and project pursuits.
  • Conduct site visits, evaluations, and construction-phase support as needed.
  • Utilize Revit BIM and engineering software to support project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and best practices.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Architectural/Engineering (A/E) consulting business.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Demonstrated experience leading mechanical design efforts for healthcare or higher education projects; industrial or municipal experience a plus.
  • Ability to lead and manage mechanical design teams through all phases of project delivery.
  • Experience acting as a project manager or engineering lead, including managing budgets, schedules, and work assignments.
  • Proven ability to serve as the primary client contact with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience pursuing new work, developing client relationships, preparing proposals, and participating in interviews.
  • Proficiency with Revit Building Information Modeling software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and support the development of junior staff.
  • Strong coordination skills across architectural, structural, electrical, and civil disciplines.
