Sr. Technology Operations Manager, Technology Deployment Group:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Technology Operations Manager to lead our Technology Deployment Group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of restaurant technology deployments, including new restaurant openings, closings, renovations, new technology deployments, technology refreshes, and strategic technology initiatives. This role requires a strategic leader who can scale deployment operations to keep pace with CAVA's aggressive growth trajectory while maintaining consistent quality and minimizing disruption to restaurant operations.

What You'll Do:

Lead and mentor a team of technology operations professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement in deployment execution.

Own the end-to-end technology deployment lifecycle for new restaurant openings, ensuring all technology systems (POS, networking, digital menu boards, kitchen display systems, security, AV) are installed, configured, tested, and operational on schedule.

Manage the technology decommissioning process for restaurant closings, ensuring proper asset recovery, data sanitization, and documentation in alignment with CAVA IT standards.

Oversee technology deployments for restaurant renovations, coordinating with construction, operations, and IT teams to minimize downtime and deliver seamless technology transitions.

Lead the planning and execution of new technology deployments across the restaurant fleet, including pilot programs, phased rollouts, and full-scale implementations.

Manage technology refresh cycles across all restaurant locations, ensuring hardware and software remain current, supported, and aligned with CAVA's technology standards.

Develop and maintain a strategic technology deployment roadmap that aligns with CAVA's growth plan, real estate pipeline, and enterprise technology strategy.

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Real Estate, Construction, Operations, and IT to ensure seamless coordination of deployment timelines and requirements.

Manage vendor and integrator relationships for restaurant technology deployments, driving accountability to ensure all contractually agreed service level agreements, timelines, and quality standards are met.

Establish and refine standardized deployment playbooks, checklists, and processes to ensure consistent, repeatable, high-quality deployments at scale.

Lead the creation and consistent delivery of insightful deployment metrics and reporting that clearly communicates deployment performance, project status, and identifies opportunities for process improvement.

Champion continuous improvement initiatives across all deployment processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve speed-to-open for new restaurant locations.

Act as an escalation point for critical deployment issues, managing communication and resolution with urgency to protect restaurant opening timelines.

Partner with the Enterprise Service Management team to ensure deployment-related incidents and service requests are tracked and resolved in alignment with ITSM standards.

Lead project initiatives related to technology deployments, including planning, execution, budgeting, and monitoring of assigned projects.

Collaborate with cross-functional business teams to ensure project objectives are met and deployment solutions align with operational needs.

The Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in technology deployment or IT operations in a multi-location environment, with at least 5+ years of management experience leading deployment or field technology teams.

Demonstrated experience managing large-scale technology deployments across 100+ locations, including new site builds, renovations, and technology refreshes.

Strong knowledge of restaurant or retail technology stacks, including POS systems, networking, digital signage, kitchen display systems, and security systems.

Strong knowledge of ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and IT Operations best practices.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deployment projects.

Ability to think strategically and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Relentless focus on delivering a world-class deployment experience through process standardization, automation, and the streamlining of workflows to reduce friction and drive consistent outcomes.

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences and at all levels of the organization.

Detail-oriented mindset, self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.

Experience working with restaurant point of sales is a plus.

Relevant certifications are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment.

Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details.

For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds.

Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively.

Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable.

Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
