Job Summary

The Analytics & Insights function supports the company in its effort to be a consumer and customer-centered organization across our three brands: Horizon Organic, Wallaby, and Maple Hill. We drive strategic clarity and precision in cross-functional partnership efforts with our category, brand, commercial, revenue growth management, Category Management and sales teams to capture value by bringing facts, insights and analytical diagnosis to business challenges. We drive rigor and understanding of consumers, shoppers, categories, customers, products, competitors and cultural trends.

About the Job:

The role will report to the Director, Insights & Analytics and upon joining, will work with the Director to develop and implement a plan for managing data, analytics, and reporting for the business. This will require close collaboration with our secondary data supplier partners, internal stakeholders that use the reports, and support teams like IT to ensure the right systems and technology are in place.

The Manager will be responsible for managing relationships with data providers and leveraging these resources to support the business. The Manager will need to quickly establish expertise and be comfortable taking a stand to influence decisions with high level stakeholders.

The Manager will be expected to grow into an Analytics & Insights leader for Horizon Family brands business and champion the use of insights to support decision-making throughout the organization. This may include:

  • Provide mentoring and training on best practices across teams
  • Work with the Director and Sr Manager on direction and vision for the Analytics & Insights team
  • Expand their skill set to manage the breadth of Analytics & Insights responsibilities, including primary research (brand health tracking, concept and product testing, etc., depending on needs)

The base compensation range for this position is $105,000-$125,000 commensurate with experience.

About you:

The individual in the role will need to be detail-oriented but also able to zoom out to see the big picture. Additionally, strong skillset in data analysis, data visualization, and story-telling are going to be key to success in this role.

  • BA/BS required, ideally in a relevant field
  • 5+ years of experience working with point of sale, household panel data, ideally Circana (legacy IRI), Nielsen, SPINS extracting insights from the information, and delivering value added actionable recommendations.
  • Client-side CPG experience or close co-work in CPG as a supplier are preferable
  • Expert in Excel; experience with analytical tools/software
  • Experience implementing or renovating a system/series of reports
  • Experience with building a data lake for use with a visualization tool like Power BI a big plus
  • Self-Starter and capable of delivering against a vision with minimal guidance
  • Attracted to new technology and analytical approaches
  • Open minded, flexible, autonomous, and capable of leading cross-functional discussions
  • Equally comfortable contributing and influencing in group or individual assignments
  • Masterโ€™s degree in a relevant field
  • Demonstrated ability to build advocacy for analytics in an organization
  • Experience working across/merging data sources
  • Experience managing 3 rd party data, analytics, research, or technology partners
