Do you have experience maintaining complex building systems and enjoy solving technical challenges? Orlando Health is seeking a Senior Maintenance Mechanic to help ensure our facilities, equipment, and critical infrastructure operate safely and efficiently to support exceptional patient care.
What You'll Do
As a Senior Maintenance Mechanic, you will:
✅ Perform corrective, emergency, and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, power generation, and medical gas systems
✅ Inspect, calibrate, adjust, lubricate, repair, and replace equipment components as needed
✅ Complete preventative maintenance work orders accurately and efficiently
✅ Maintain maintenance records and ensure work complies with established standards and specifications
✅ Assist with major equipment repairs, installations, and facility improvement projects
✅ Support compliance with state, federal, and Joint Commission regulations
✅ Coordinate and document fire and life safety inspections and procedures
✅ Train and mentor engineers and general mechanics on equipment and maintenance practices
✅ Promote teamwork and collaborate with Facilities, Safety, and Security departments
✅ Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
What We're Looking For
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Five (5) years of maintenance mechanic experience in healthcare or a similar environment required
• Trade or vocational school graduates may qualify with two (2) years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of facility equipment
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safety, quality, and customer service
