About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer with 12+ years of experience to lead the design, development, and optimization of large-scale data platforms on Google Cloud. The ideal candidate will architect data solutions, mentor junior engineers, and drive best practices for scalability, performance, and governance.

Key Responsibilities
- *Data Architecture*: Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-optimized data pipelines and data warehouses on Google Cloud Platform
- *Pipeline Development*: Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Dataflow, Apache Beam, Cloud Composer, and Pub/Sub
- *Data Modeling*: Create and optimize data models for BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, and Bigtable
- *Cloud Services*: Hands-on with Google Cloud Platform services - BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Vertex AI, Looker
- *Automation & DevOps*: Implement CI/CD for data pipelines using Terraform, Cloud Build, and Git. Infrastructure as Code
- *Performance & Optimization*: Tune data pipelines and queries for cost, performance, and reliability
- *Governance & Security*: Ensure data quality, lineage, encryption, IAM, and compliance with enterprise standards

- *12+ years* of overall IT experience with *8+ years in Data Engineering*
- *5+ years* of hands-on experience with *Google Cloud Platform*
- Expert in *BigQuery, Dataflow/Apache Beam, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage*
- Strong programming in *Python, SQL, and Shell Scripting*
- Experience with *Spark, Dataproc, Hadoop ecosystem*
- Hands-on with *Terraform, Cloud Build, Docker, Kubernetes*
- Deep understanding of *Data Warehousing concepts, Star/Snowflake Schema, CDC*
- Experience with *data governance tools, monitoring, and logging* on Google Cloud Platform
- *Google Cloud Platform Professional Data Engineer Certification* preferred
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
