BI Engineer

Location: Eden Prairie, MN-Day one onsite

Duration: 6+ Months

Job Description:

Experience required/Job Summary:

Looking for a BI and Reporting Engineer with 8 years of experience who would help us create new reports and dashboards. Also, we need to migrate reports and ETLs from Microstrategy and SAS from legacy databases like Hive, Oracle to Snowflake.

Roles & Responsibilities:

· 5+ years of experience in the field of Data Analysis, ETL, Reporting, Business Intelligence including source data analysis, profiling, and reporting.

· Should have designed, developed, or implemented sizeable BI/Analytics solutions for the healthcare analytics.

· Good experience in Snowflake with strong knowledge in writing SQLs.

· Very well versed with Microstrategy reporting, with ability to develop, re-point, change reports as needed.

· Good experience with SAS Reporting and ETL where required. He should be able to understand the existing code and make sure it mapped correctly with the target.

· Works with less structured, more complex issues

· Extract, analyze, aggregate, and interpret data. In-depth knowledge of ETL, OLAP and OLTP concepts

· Perform quantitative analysis of health care claims utilization and cost data. Should have designed, developed or implemented sizeable BI/Analytics solutions for the healthcare analytics

· Develop, review, and analyze detailed data sets leveraged for client reporting/analytics. Using warehouse data, generate reports to support business decision-making and business performance monitoring

· Should be able to work on existing reports with ease and help transition them to modern data platforms.

· Ability to build dashboards and reports from scratch and also repoint them to newer data sources.

· Analyzing current business practices, processes and procedures and identifying future business opportunities for leveraging data storage and retrieval system capabilities.

· Solid hands-on and in-depth understanding on DWH/BI/Analytics concepts and proficient in Data Visualization. Capable to study, analyze and understand business requirements in context to business intelligence

· Follow Agile software development lifecycle

· Quality Assurance
