Security Clearance:
  • Applicant must hold or be able to obtain an active Department of Defense (DoD)SECRETpersonnel security clearance.

Responsibilities:
The Senior Logisticians (Functional Lead) needs to be familiar with Navy Logistics systems such as HIS Haystack, Model Based Product Support (MBPS), Navy Data Environment (NDE), Material Readiness Database (MRDB), Regional Maintenance and Modernization Coordination Office (RMMCO), Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) and NAVAIR Deckplate. They will lead the logistics team and engage with various external organizations and commercial vendors. Job Duties will include but not limited to:
  • Develop and implement technical project management tools, such as plans, schedules, and responsibility and compliance matrices.

  • Develop proposals that include documentation for estimates.

  • Plan, organize, and execute logistics support activities, such as maintenance planning, repair analysis, and test equipment recommendations.

  • Direct availability and allocation of materials, supplies, and finished products.

  • Direct team activities, establishing task priorities, scheduling and tracking work assignments, providing guidance, and ensuring the availability of resources.

  • Participate in the assessment and review of design alternatives and design change proposal impacts.

  • Perform managerial duties such as hiring and training employees and overseeing logistics needs and requirements.

  • Perform system lifecycle cost analysis and develop component studies.

  • Provide project management services, including the provision and analysis of technical data.

  • Review logistics performance with customers against targets, benchmarks, and service agreements.

  • Interpret data on logistics elements, such as availability, maintainability, reliability, supply chain management, strategic sourcing and

  • distribution, supplier management, and transportation.

  • Develop logistic metrics, internal analysis tools, and key performance indicators for programs.

  • Determine logistics support requirements, such as facility details, staffing needs, and safety or maintenance plans.

Experience:
  • 12 years of experience providing logistics support to NAVSEA programs.

  • Experience supervising medium to large teams.

  • Demonstrated experience to train and develop Logisticians.

Education & Certification Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, logistics, business or related field or relevant direct military experience in lieu of degree

  • DAU Level II Logistician or equivalent is a plus.

  • EVM Professional Certification or equivalent.

  • DAU Life Cycle Logistics Advanced Certification or equivalent.
