Overview

LOGISTICIAN (LXL Radar -2026-25804):

Bowhead seeks a Part-Time Logistician to join our team in Crane, IN. The Logisticians are responsible for managing a product's life cycle from design to disposal and must be able to develop, adjust and carry out logistical plans related to various products. Logisticians are required to properly allocate materials, supplies and products to ensure the success of the contract and must have excellent communication and problem solving skills. The Logisticians must also keep accurate and complete record and be able to work in a fast-paced environment requiring excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include:

  • Track and manage all GFE and also assist to successfully have a rotable pool of "A" equipment readily available at all times.
  • Track MWT Container Inventory, processing paperwork, process DRMO, tracking and organizing stock.
  • Analyze and research equipment in inventory.
  • Maintain forklift inspection sheet
  • AEGIS MWT Container Inspection for Quality Assurance
  • Safely move materials with power lift equipment without incident.
  • Coordinate with dispatch and supply to schedule trucks for pickup and delivery of material.
  • Inspect all packaging of all material received and delivered prior to loading and unloading trucks.
  • Coordinate with QA for the recording of any damage to packaging. (Photos, notification.)
  • Also return material to supply via documents provided by production controllers... (1348, 1149, DD250, RFI, Turn in, and inductions).
  • Coordinate staging of material, for better utilization of limited space, for deliveries and material received.
  • Adhere to safety procedures as well as Material handling.(inspections, packing, unpacking, and forklift operation.)
  • Create manifest forms for deliveries, and verify contents of manifests
  • Notify production controllers, techs, and managers of material delivered and received.
  • Cleaning and Repair of MWT Containers according to instruction

Skills Required:

  • MS Excel knowledge
  • Experience with Material Movement Paperwork
Qualifications
  • High school diploma is required, Associate's degree is desired or a minimum of at least two (2+) years of experience however additional experience may be substituted for formal education for highly qualified candidates.
  • An understanding an application of logistics principles, concepts, practices and standards. Knowledge of industry practices an application to government practices.ย 
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.ย
