JOB SUMMARY:
The Lighting Project Coordinator will assist with all phases of lighting fixture projects from the sales process, all phases of construction, and beyond. This position will play a key role in ensuring all lighting fixture projects are on time, budget, and meet the SAV standards of satisfaction for clients and partners alike.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Maintain proactive communication between SAV and all involved parties, including the client, general contractors, architects, interior/lighting designers, engineers, manufacturers, and consultants
• Ensure timely completion and delivery of project documents to communicate wiring design, layout, aesthetic and programming requirements to field personnel, clients, and others
• Manage expectations of the client, general contractors, designers, consultants, etc.
• Maintain detailed and accurate task lists, timelines, and milestones for each project inside of task management software
• Coordinate and conduct site walks, including site inspections throughout the construction process and upon the completion of each phase of system installation to ensure quality control
• Request timely purchase of equipment and materials to ensure project remains on task
• Coordinate keypad engraving request both internally and externally
• Create a Bill of Materials for lighting fixture projects (fixture takeoff, quotes, pricing, etc.)
• Order entry, product tracking, lead time awareness
• Review and verify lighting fixture schedules for accuracy and possible conflicts
• Create and maintain lighting fixture submittal packages
• Quality control of received products (quantities, labeling, organizing) in conjunction with the warehouse team
• Assist project manager as needed with all things lighting fixtures and keypad engravings
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS amp; ABILITIES:
• Excellent executive functioning skills, including organization, prioritization, delegation, and written/verbal communication
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen carefully, share ideas, communicate issues/solutions clearly, and collaboration in a team setting.
• Ability to coordinate people and processes, to read and understand technical specifications, and to communicate at a high level with sub-contractors and team members.
• Familiarity with or knowledge of the design process (conception through realization)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
• General Design background (interior, graphic, lighting, architectural, etc.)
• Architectural lighting experience in AV, construction, or lighting related field
• Skilled in coordinating parts orders, verifying specifications, and minimizing fulfillment errors
• Knowledge of current lighting industry trends
• Familiarity with control systems such as Crestron, Lutron, and Savant
