Job description

The Sales Manager II (Japanese-Speaking) generates maximum sales efficiencies, while maintaining or exceeding targeted Volume Per Guest.

This position assists with the supervision of the In House and Action Line through coaching, modeling, and reinforcing effective sales and customer service practices, behaviors, and results. This Manager is the lead on any and all customer service issues that require experienced and speedy resolution.

Qualifications - What are we looking for?
 

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Active Hawaii State Real Estate License
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • 1-2 years of management experience or 4-9 months of internal HGV management experience
  • 1-2 years of branded vacation ownership experience
  • 1+ years of demonstrated ability to train and motivate individuals in the field of direct sales
  • Fluency in Japanese (reading/writing/speaking) and Proficiency in English (reading/writing/speaking).

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • 5+ years of branded vacation ownership experience
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to manage and resolve complex customer service issues

Additional Responsibilities Include:

Shapes Strategy for Improving Levels of Customer Service:

  • Supports the Director of Sales and Sr Sales Manager by challenging the way things have always been done; looking at problems, processes and solutions in new ways; and identifying novel solutions to old problems by trying new methods and technologies.  This includes enhancing business results, the customer experience, improving efficiencies, increased cash down payment at the point of sale, etc.
  • Supports the Director of Sales and Sr Sales Manager in managing the floor and being the point person for customer related expectations and issues of the sales team


Supports the Execution of Sales Strategies:

  • Responsible for the performance of the overall team and ensuring sales contracts are executed  
  • Follows up with personal sales business, including conversion of pending business, anti-rescission measures, post cancellation calls, etc.
  • Address any concerns regarding the conduct of a Sales Executive and collaborate with DOS and Senior Managers


Drives for Results:

  • Individual production performance meets or exceeds minimum performance standards for the site
  • Responsible for closing sales in accordance with current sales and contract policies
  • Maintain strong product knowledge and assist Sales Executives with answering Guest questions.
  • Interact with Guests to ensure they have a solid understanding of HGV product and vacation ownership
  • Strategize with Sales Executives with regards to sales presentation and product pitch
  • Conducts motivational, meaningful morning sales meetings
  • Helps support the leadership team in managing the Sales Executives and helps to hold them accountable for adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Generates maximum performance in the sales teams by utilizing predefined metrics
  • Ensures that all new contracts are completed properly and processed according to current policy
  • Manages staff performance to include creating a positive work environment, driving employees toward desired performance/behavior, recognition of accomplishments, and corrective actions as appropriate
  • Carries out all other reasonable requests as assigned by management
