Our Fulfillment Centers are the backbone of our operation, driving excellence in distribution, inventory, and customer satisfaction.

The Role

The Senior Manager, Receiving Operations leads all inbound activity within the fulfillment center, ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant receipt of goods. This role is responsible for vendor performance, inventory accuracy, and operational execution, while leading a high-performing team of supervisors and associates. You will partner cross-functionally to drive process improvements and maintain best-in-class receiving standards.

What You'll Do

Inbound Operations Management

  • Oversee all inbound receiving functions including unloading, checking, sorting, and putaway
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of purchase orders and ASNs
  • Monitor daily receiving volumes, dock scheduling, and carrier performance
  • Develop and enforce SOPs for receiving workflows
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between PO quantities, physical counts, and system records

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop receiving supervisors, leads, and associates
  • Conduct performance evaluations, goal setting, and corrective actions as needed
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Partner with HR and Training to onboard and develop team members
  • Align staffing plans with inbound volume forecasts

Inventory Accuracy & Quality Control

  • Maintain receiving accuracy metrics and drive corrective actions for shrink, damages, and mispicks
  • Partner with Inventory Control to resolve discrepancies and system variances
  • Oversee QA processes including scrap, returns, and vendor non-compliance
  • Ensure proper labeling, staging, and storage of incoming product
  • Collaborate with replenishment teams to improve fill rates and reduce shorts

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Track KPIs such as units received per hour, dock-to-stock time, and accuracy
  • Conduct root cause analysis on discrepancies and inventory losses
  • Drive process improvement initiatives using data insights
  • Prepare and present performance updates to senior leadership
  • Partner with WMS and IT teams to optimize systems and resolve issues

What You'll Bring

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment operations
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in receiving or inbound operations
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, WMS systems, and logistics
  • Proven ability to lead large teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience in grocery, perishable, or fresh product environments
  • Familiarity with vendor compliance programs and ASN/EDI processes
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety and food safety standards
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certifications
