Senior Intermodal Dispatchers are experienced logistics professionals responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of cargo containers between different modes of transportation, such as trucks, trains, and ships. They oversee scheduling, route planning, and communication with drivers, carriers, and customers to ensure timely and efficient delivery. Senior Intermodal Dispatchers also resolve operational issues, monitor regulatory compliance, and may supervise junior dispatchers or logistics staff. Their expertise helps optimize the supply chain and minimize delays or disruptions.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a senior intermodal dispatcher?

Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), GPS tracking software, and industry compliance platforms is typically required.
