Responsibilities The Senior Intelligence Analyst/Target Analyst serves as a subject-matter expert (SME) on China or Russia, providing strategic and operational intelligence support to Portfolio Leads (PL) and Project Managers (PM) of a DoW R&D Prototyping Office. The incumbent applies 10 to 12 years of analytic experience to assess adversary intentions, military capabilities, and the operational employment of threat systems to identify critical vulnerabilities that can be exploited through Title 10 capability investments. You will deliver tailored intelligence products to support PL/PM project lifecycles, develop critical information requirements for target development, and actively leverage the National Intelligence Community (IC) and Intelligence Service Centers through formal and informal engagement to satisfy these requirements. This position requires expert tradecraft, deep regional and functional expertise, and the ability to operate independently in high-visibility, time-sensitive environments. The key duties associated with this role include but are not limited to the following: * Research and analyze complex, multi-source data to identify adversary critical capabilities and vulnerabilities. * Synthesize large volumes of complex technical intelligence into clear, actionable assessments that drive Title 10 capability investments. * Advanced knowledge of China and/or Russia, including leadership dynamics, military doctrine, strategic capabilities, intelligence services, and influence operations * Knowledge of the weapons system development lifecycle (R&D indicators, testing and evaluation phases, production, and deployment patterns). * Assess adversary capability maturity, operational limitations, and tactical integration. * Coordinate with interagency partners, the DoW, and IC stakeholders to synchronize analytic efforts and deconflict assessments. Qualifications Required Qualifications: * Active TS/SCI security clearance at time of application with ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph clearance * Minimum of 10 years (8 years with relevant MA/MS degree) of professional intelligence analysis experience with a significant, demonstrable focus on China and/or Russia * Demonstrated experience producing strategic and operational level intelligence products for senior-level decision makers * Demonstrated mastery of intelligence analytic tradecraft and Structured Analytic Techniques (SATs) * Knowledge of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and air-defense systems, to include one or more of the following: * Propulsion - solid, liquid, and hybrid propulsion systems * Guidance & Navigation - Inertial Navigation Systems (INS), satellite-aided navigation, and terminal seekers * Payload Integration - warhead types, fusing mechanisms, and payload integration * Launch Platforms - land based, sea based, and air-launched delivery platforms * Advanced understanding of targeting methodologies, network analysis, and intelligence support to joint operations and/or military capability development * Strong critical thinking skills with a demonstrated ability to operate effectively amidst ambiguity and incomplete information * Exceptional written and oral communication skills with extensive experience briefing senior civilian and military leaders * Ability to support travel up to 10-20% * Ability to work full time in a Chantilly office within SCIF/SAPF spaces At SPA, we strive to deliver a robust total compensation package that will attract and retain top talent.
