The Senior Integration Engineer designs and implements integration solutions for data from APIs/Events/Batch based systems.


Accountabilities:

  • The Senior Integration Engineer supports various projects, identifies business needs, and proposes IT solutions to existing components and ensures that final solutions meet organizational needs.
  • Develops and implements solutions that integrate data across the enterprise by evaluating existing components or systems to determine integration requirements and ensures that final solutions meet the organization's needs.
  • Knowledge of the latest integration solutions and problem-solving methods using creativity, customer service, and teamwork.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Design, development, and maintenance of metadata driven data pipeline automation framework(s) for batch, event, and streaming data in cloud native environment.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis to understand and solve integration needs between data sources and applications
  • Build integration solutions based on principles of reusability, security, scalability, and quality
  • Collaborate and communicate with the broader Engineering and Product Teams
  • Embrace modern technologies and work with various tools and technologies to achieve desired functionality
  • Participate in code and architectural reviews
  • Rapid prototyping and presenting proof of concepts for key technology decisions to collaborators and other technology leaders
  • Build end to end data pipelines from source to target ensuring data quality, consistency and observability using DataOps principles
  • Utilize IT documents, charts, and drawings as tools to enhance, document, and control integration and interface information.
Requirements:

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 3+ years of deep hands-on experience with multiple integration solutions and architectures, integration and API engineering, cloud technologies, and data modeling
  • 1+ years of hand on experience in metadata management, metadata driven automation and developer efficiency tooling
  • 1+ years of cloud native data solutions enabling Analytics, Operational, Data Science and ML use cases
  • 1+ year event-driven and streaming solutions in cloud native environment
  • 2+ years with advanced SQL and scripting (python/bash etc.) development
  • Demonstrable track record of shipping and supporting high-performing and secure SaaS web applications and 3rd party integration
  • Understanding of Web Services protocols such as REST, GraphQL and API design for extensibility and portability.
  • 1+ year of hand on cloud expertise (preferably AWS) with strong understanding of SaaS models
  • Knowledge in engineering practices such as code refactoring, design patterns, design driven development, continuous integration, building highly scalable applications and security.
  • High proficiency in English

Preferred Experience:

  • Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar analytical field
  • Health care and pharmaceutical experience
  • Experience working/collaborating with Master Data Management, Metadata Management and Data Governance
  • Experience working with AWS Glue (PySpark) and Snowflake
