Job Description Primary Responsibilities Perform mold changes and setups on injection and/or compression molding machines Install and remove molds, water lines, hydraulic lines, and auxiliary equipment safely and efficiently Ensure molds are properly aligned, clamped, and connected prior to startup Assist with machine startup and verify proper operation of molding equipment Troubleshoot basic molding and setup issues impacting production Perform material changes and assist with resin/material handling as needed Verify setup parameters and ensure machines are operating within process specifications Work with Process Technicians and Production Supervisors to support quality and production goals Assist with preventative maintenance activities on molds and molding equipment Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements Document setup activities and communicate production concerns to leadership Support continuous improvement initiatives and production efficiency efforts Assist with training and cross-functional support as needed Job Requirements Education High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification Skills & Relevant Work Experience High school diploma or equivalent required 1–3 years of mold setting or manufacturing experience preferred Experience in injection molding and/or compression molding preferred Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required Knowledge of thermoset and/or thermoplastic molding processes Ability to read setup sheets, work instructions, and production documentation Strong attention to detail and safety awareness Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, and reaching Ability to work around manufacturing equipment and high-temperature machinery Ability to use proper lifting techniques and PPE at all times Work Environment: Manufacturing shop floor; exposure to machinery noise, oil, and metal shavings. Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
