Job Summary
IMI is seeking a full-time Director of Commercial/Industrial Plumber & Conditioned Air local to the Athens, GA area.
Essential Functions
The Director of Commercial/Industrial Plumber & Conditioned Air will be responsible for helping develop and execute business plan in the plumbing and mechanical space.
  • Safety Initiative: Cultivate a positive SAFETY culture throughout the entire division.
  • Sales leadership: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Market Analysis: Identify opportunities within the region, analyze competitor activity and champion the company's position in the region.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and manage budgets, project manager performance and identify areas for cost optimization.
  • Team Development: Recruit, train and mentor team members. Evaluate performance and provide ongoing coaching.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers. Address customer concerns and ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop plans, set goals and align strategies with overall company objectives.
  • Must have knowledge of design, installation, repairs and maintenance of commercial and industrial mechanical systems, chillers, cooling tower and other mechanical items.

Education and Experience
  • Must hold in good standing a current non-restricted master plumbers license and conditioned air license in the state of Georgia.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred or 5 years of experience in Industrial project management.
  • Minimum of three years' work experience in Industrial Contracting.
  • OSHA 30 required; must have been completed within the last 5 years.
  • Proven experience in people management and a commitment to industrial safety.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Computer experience, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Excel, Project, and Outlook.

Work Environment/Physical Demands
  • Stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, or manipulate objects.
  • Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Manual dexterity needed for repetitive tasks and operating standard office equipment.
  • Willingness to travel overnight up to 5-10% of the time.
