Job description

Note-  This role focuses on IT infrastructure and systems automation, not software or QA test automation.
Candidates with backgrounds primarily in test automation, CI/CD pipelines, or application QA will not be considered.
 
We are seeking a Senior IT Automation Engineer to lead enterprise automation initiatives and improve operational efficiency across a global hybrid IT environment.
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement automation using PowerShell, Azure Automation, Power Automate, Freshworks, Workato, and Postman
  • Build scalable automation for user/device provisioning, software deployment, and self-service workflows
  • Develop automation for hybrid cloud and on-prem environments
  • Integrate automation with Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra, Intune, Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Administer Active Directory, DNS, GPOs, and Windows Server (2016+)
  • Manage virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and NAS/SAN storage
  • Lead global automation projects, create dashboards, and maintain documentation
Requirements
  • 8+ years in enterprise IT systems engineering
  • Advanced automation and scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Batch)
  • Strong expertise in Active Directory and Microsoft 365
  • Experience with Azure and AWS
  • Background in enterprise virtualization and storage
  • Proven leadership in large-scale automation initiatives
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
On-Call & Availability
  • Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule
  • Respond to critical incidents and support after-hours deployments
Annual base salary for this role in California, US is expected to be between  $120,000 - $155,000. Actual pay will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant skills and experience, and the pay of employees in the similar role.
