Job Summary:
Pylon is a company revolutionizing the mortgage market with a vertically integrated platform that simplifies the origination process. They are looking for Infrastructure Engineers to maintain system reliability and enhance developer productivity within their Foundation team, ensuring the infrastructure can support high-volume mortgage transactions.
Responsibilities:
• Keep highly available systems highly available. We process mortgage transactions that can't go down. You'll design, monitor, and improve the infrastructure that makes that possible.
• Make developers more productive. Slow builds, flaky tests, painful deploys — these are your enemies. You'll build tooling and infrastructure that lets the rest of the team move fast with confidence.
• Be a groundskeeper of the codebase. You'll help maintain code quality, teach best practices, and mentor junior engineers. The Foundation team sets the standard for how we build software.
• Fight fires and prevent them. When something breaks, you'll help fix it. More importantly, you'll build the systems and practices that keep things from breaking in the first place.
• Work with instant feedback. Your customers are your coworkers. They'll tell you what's working and what's not — no surveys, no quarterly reviews, just direct, honest feedback every day.
