Overview

The Information Technology (IT) Supervisor provides hands-on supervision, daily support, administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Company’s technology systems. This role serves as a primary technical resource and coordinates day-to-day IT activities to ensure employees have reliable, secure, and effective technology tools to perform their work.

The IT Supervisor works closely with the CFO, Corporate IT, third-party IT partners, vendors, and internal departments to support technology operations, troubleshoot issues, implement approved projects, maintain cybersecurity practices, and improve the overall technology support experience across the organization.

This position requires strong technical judgment, customer service, confidentiality, and the ability to prioritize support needs while maintaining compliance with Company and Corporate IT standards.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDay-to-Day IT Operations
  • Serve as the escalation point of contact for complex employee technology support and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate, prioritize and assign daily IT support requests, escalations, and system issues to the IT support technician.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and support computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers, software, and peripheral equipment as needed.
  • Oversee and provide support of onboarding, job changes, and offboarding activities related to hardware, software, user accounts, and access permissions.
  • Maintain timely communication with employees and leadership regarding technology issues, outages, and support status.
Systems, Infrastructure & Security
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365, email, collaboration tools, mobile devices, endpoint devices, and other business technology platforms.
  • Support network infrastructure, servers, cloud services, backups, communication systems, and related business technology resources.
  • Implement and maintain network security practices as established by Company and Corporate IT policy.
  • Assist with cybersecurity tools, endpoint protection, patching, monitoring, and remediation activities.
  • Maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity documentation and assist with related testing and updates.
  • Oversee and maintain accurate IT asset inventories, assigned equipment records, software licensing information, and support documentation.
Supervision, Coordination & Vendor Support
  • Provide work direction, coaching, and technical guidance to the IT support technician or third-party support partners.
  • Coordinate the work of outside IT providers, vendors, and Corporate IT resources to resolve issues and complete approved projects.
  • Monitor vendor responsiveness and service quality; elevate concerns to the CFO as needed.
  • Support the evaluation of technology solutions, service needs, equipment purchases, and vendor recommendations.
  • Assist with department planning by identifying recurring issues, technology gaps, equipment needs, and process improvement opportunities.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead or support approved IT projects, system upgrades, hardware deployments, software implementations, and process improvements.
  • Recommend practical solutions that improve employee productivity, system reliability, cybersecurity, and overall technology performance.
  • Work with department leaders to understand operational needs and identify technology support requirements.
  • Support annual technology planning and budgeting by providing input on hardware, software, service, and infrastructure needs.
Compliance, Documentation & Training
  • Ensure activities align with Company policies, Corporate IT standards, data security requirements, and applicable procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of Company, employee, financial, operational, and technology-related information.
  • Prepare and maintain IT procedures, knowledge base materials, system documentation, inventories, and support records.
  • Communicate and reinforce IT and cybersecurity best practices with employees.
  • Support compliance with Corporate Records Retention Policies and other applicable technology-related requirements.
Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Telecommunications, or a related field; or equivalent experience and training.
  • Five (5) or more years of progressive IT support, systems administration, infrastructure, or technology operations experience.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft-based enterprise environments, including user administration, endpoint support, and collaboration tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Prior experience providing work direction, mentoring, vendor coordination, or technical leadership preferred.
