Job description

The HR Business Partner will support Piping Rock’s Nevada and California facilities, service as a strategic partner to local management, to help achieve organizational goals through effective talent and workforce management. This role includes day-to-day HR administration related functions in collaboration with the Corporate HR department.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive local activities and programs in an effort to foster an engaged, high-performing, and compliant workplace.
  • Serve as a partner to associates to foster open and collaborative associate-HR relationships.
  • Use workforce data to identify trends, recommend solutions and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
  • Facilitate weekly new-hire orientation, associate onboarding, and coordinate with Talent Acquisition to support workforce planning.
  • Respond to associate questions regarding benefits, policies, procedures, and HR programs, escalating complex or sensitive matters to the Senior HR Manager as appropriate.
  • Support employee relations activities, including workplace investigations, disciplinary meetings, performance discussions, and terminations.
  • Coach managers on preparing effective performance evaluations, documenting performance concerns, and delivering clear, constructive feedback.
  • Advise associates and managers on the interpretation and consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
  • Administer employee offboarding activities, including conducting exit interviews and identifying trends or opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and recommended HR practices, and assist with reviewing and updating policies as needed.
  • Track and document completion of required and optional training programs, including safety, anti-harassment, and other compliance-related training.
  • Plan, promote, and coordinate associate engagement activities that strengthen morale, recognition, and workplace culture.
  • Research, evaluate, and maintain vendor relationships that support associate programs and facility activities.
  • Maintain accurate new-hire and associate data changes within the HRIS.
  • Provide general support to the broader Human Resources department and perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Human Resources or related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Must have collaborative attitude.
  • Associate-facing experience in a production environment preferred.
  • Strong project planning and execution skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends.
  • Sound judgment and composure under pressure.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
  • Able to travel to Piping Rock locations within the U.S. several times per year.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish skills are a plus.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Flexible to support occasional shift coverage, meetings, and events.
