Berkadia is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst with 3-5 years of applicable experience to join the Multifamily Investment Sales team based in the Irvine office. This role supports the team's transaction activity across Southern California through complex quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and underwriting. Additional responsibilities include the preparation of institutional-quality marketing collateral, in-depth market research and analysis, and support of transaction due diligence. This position is best suited for a motivated, analytically strong professional who is passionate about multifamily real estate and interested in growing within a collaborative investment sales platform. The role combines a strong focus on quantitative analysis and financial modeling matched with qualitative analysis and practical business application.

We Innovate to shape the future of CRE, so in this role you will:

         Prepare complex financial models and underwriting analyses for multifamily investment sales assignments.

         Analyze operating statements, rent rolls, and other property-level data to support valuation and transaction execution.

         Utilize and maintain databases which track investment sales activity, construction pipeline, and other relevant real estate metrics.

         Regularly present analyses internally, with opportunities to support client presentations externally.

         Review industry surveys and benchmarks, economic and demographic trends.

         Research, draft, and proof market intelligence for use in marketing collateral.

         Prepare and present the results of the analysis, including graphics and charts, in a clear and concise manner.

         Establish strong working relationships with the team to understand and identify their needs for market intelligence.

         Demonstrate strong organizational skills in prioritizing tasks, managing multiple assignments, and adapting to changing priorities in a team environment.

         Utilize research and market data to help craft the strategy for each deal.

         Other duties as assigned.

  •     Exceptionally strong Excel modeling skills, with experience with VBA and complex formulas.

         Experience with data analytics, including demographics, competitive data, and industry and real estate trends.

         Ability to think commercially and understand the needs of different client groups, including investment management firms, investment sales advisors, and lenders.

         Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal supervision.

         Ability to work effectively both as an individual and as part of a team.

         Ability to communicate complex ideas in writing and through data visualization techniques to diverse audiences.  

         Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel). 

         Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance financial modeling, market research, or document production a plus.
