Location: Phoenix, AZ

Work Arrangement: In-Office/Hybrid


A Day in the Life

As a Tax Senior Associate in our high net worth tax practice, you will be responsible for working with individual tax clients to assist them with the transition of wealth from one generation to the next. A typical day as a Tax Senior Associate might include the following:

  • Preparing complex tax returns including individual, fiduciary, corporate, partnership, and split-interest returns by required deadlines.
  • Working with clients to ensure relevant tax-related information is gathered so that an accurate tax return can be prepared.
  • Looking at the tax situation of the individual, their trusts, and their estate from various angles to ensure the maximum tax benefit is applied.
  • Working with the tax and national Wealth Transition Services team to ensure the various components of the tax process are performed including tax planning, client interaction and performing special tax projects.
  • Attending professional development and training seminars on a regular basis.
  • Effectively interacting with all levels of staff, clients, and other external business contacts.


Who You Are

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and you have or are actively working towards obtaining a CPA license or Enrolled Agent certification.
  • You have 3+ years of experience in public accounting tax work including experience with individual, fiduciary, gift and estate tax returns.
  • You have a well-rounded knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations.
  • You are an excellent communicator -- your verbal and written communication skills are outstanding.
  • You enjoy keeping up-to-date on the ever-changing tax industry's regulations and policies.
  • You have a knack for solving problems and easily notice issues while bringing solutions to the table.

Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.
