About the Role
The Sr. Gaming Analyst will work alongside the gaming and BI teams to identify areas of opportunity with the gaming sector and drive further business growth. They will support a culture of data driven decision making, provide actionable insights and recommendations as well as identify key opportunities and efficiencies within the broader gaming business, including Marketing, CRM, casino operations, and poker operations. The ideal candidate will be a motivated analytical thinker who thrives in collaborative environments to inform key business decisions and proactively push new ideas. They will also need to efficiently manage multiple projects across several different key business priorities within the gaming space. It is vital for this person to feel comfortable interfacing with key internal business leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading the development and delivery of actionable insights and analysis in response to key business questions

  • Work within a sprint structure to accomplish both short and long-term projects, to keep on track with deadlines and continue to push the business forward

  • Interface with internal stakeholders regularly to identify areas of focus within the business

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines, data models, and data-as-a-service solutions to support analytics and business needs

  • Conduct deep-dive analyses using SQL, Python, R, or other analytical tools to generate actionable insights and support decision-making

  • Manage and maintain codebases through Git version control, ensuring best practices for collaboration, documentation, and deployment

Qualifications

  • 4+ years commercial experience in analytics, business intelligence or data science

  • Advanced use and understanding of SQL

  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office especially Excel and PowerPoint

  • Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python, R)

  • Experience utilizing viz tools like Power BI and Tableau (Power BI and DAX experience is preferred)

  • Experience leading analytical strategies across the commercial business

  • Confident presenting recommendations to key stakeholders extending up to the Senior Leadership level

  • Experience working with large and sometimes incomplete and complex data sets

  • Business standard use of the English language

The annual salary range for this position is $92,000 to $120,750. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for participation in a performance-based bonus plan.

Gaming Compliance & Licensing Requirements
As an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations. Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, although certain positions require licensing by multiple agencies. Failure to become licensed or maintain licensure with each agency as required for the role may result in termination of employment. Please note that the licensing process includes comprehensive background checks which may include a review of criminal records, financial history, and personal background verification.
