Summary The Sr Dir, Delivery Project Management leads the Project Management function within the Delivery and Account Management organization, overseeing a team of client-facing Project Managers responsible for delivering complex client engagements and ensuring successful execution across cross-functional teams. The Sr Director partners with Account Management, Delivery, Operations, Technology, and other internal stakeholders to deliver measurable client value while driving operational excellence, governance, and continuous improvement. This leader provides strategic leadership for project execution, resource planning, delivery governance, and organizational capability building while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and high performance.

This role leverages business acumen, AI-enabled tools, and data-driven insights to optimize project delivery, enhance client outcomes, and improve organizational effectiveness. Responsibilities Team & Delivery Leadership Lead a high-performing Delivery Project Management organization by setting clear priorities, expectations, and accountability measures that drive consistent execution, strong team performance, and exceptional client-facing delivery outcomes. Develop and coach Project Management leaders and team members through structured feedback, talent development, and succession planning to strengthen capability, reinforce performance expectations, and support professional growth.

Guide the team through organizational change by aligning work to strategic priorities, supporting adoption of new tools and ways of working, and sustaining engagement, collaboration, and delivery effectiveness across complex, cross-functional environments. Client & Business Partnership Partner with Account Management, senior client stakeholders, and internal business leaders to understand business priorities, align delivery strategies, and ensure client commitments are achieved. Build trusted relationships across internal and external stakeholders, connecting work across organizational silos to facilitate consensus, remove barriers, and enable successful project outcomes.

Communicate delivery progress, risks, and value realization through executive-level governance and performance reviews, ensuring visibility, alignment, and accountability across business functions. Operational Excellence Establish governance processes, project standards, performance metrics, and reporting practices that improve delivery consistency and operational effectiveness. Use performance measurement, operational insights, and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance project delivery, team productivity, and client satisfaction.

Identify opportunities to optimize contract utilization and maximize client value throughout the engagement lifecycle. Strategic Leadership Align project portfolios, resources, and priorities with organizational objectives and evolving client needs. Lead organizational change initiatives that improve project delivery capabilities, adoption of new tools, and cross-functional collaboration.

Lead responsible AI adoption across delivery project management teams by identifying practical use cases, improving team productivity and decision quality, and ensuring AI-generated outputs are reviewed for accuracy, relevance, and business alignment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Healthcare Administration, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field preferred.

10 or more years of progressive experience leading complex, cross-functional project or program delivery, client services, account management, consulting, or related functions. Experience leading delivery or implementation teams within healthcare, supply chain, consulting, managed services, or technology-enabled services organizations. 5 or more years of experience leading, developing, and coaching high-performing project management or delivery teams.

Demonstrated success leading client-facing initiatives involving multiple internal stakeholders and executive-level customer relationships. Experience managing project portfolios, balancing competing priorities, and allocating resources across multiple initiatives. Experience developing project governance, performance metrics, and operational processes.

Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or other project management certification desired. Strong business acumen with the ability to assess risks, resolve complex issues, and drive execution in a matrixed organization. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders and clients without direct authority.

Experience using data, metrics, and performance indicators to drive operational improvements and business outcomes. Demonstrate advanced expertise integrating AI into business strategy, operational improvement, and organizational change while promoting responsible AI practices. Ability and willingness to travel based on client and business needs.

Estimated Hiring Range: At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances.
