Job description

Job Summary:
DealerCopilot is an early-stage AI company focused on enhancing dealership operations. They are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to own end-to-end feature development, lead architectural decisions, and collaborate closely with the technical co-founder.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Own end-to-end feature development across our full stack: React frontends, C#/.NET and Python backends, and AWS cloud infrastructure
โ€ข Lead architecture and data modeling decisions across PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and vector storage
โ€ข Design and build integrations with third-party automotive APIs and dealership management systems (CDK, Fortellis, OEM APIs)
โ€ข Operate AI-first: leverage agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) as a core multiplier in your daily workflow
โ€ข Set engineering standards โ€” code review, testing practices, CI/CD, observability โ€” as the senior technical voice on the team
โ€ข Collaborate directly with the technical co-founder on technical strategy, architecture reviews, and roadmap prioritization
โ€ข Mentor and eventually manage junior engineers as the team scales
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 4+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience
โ€ข Strong proficiency with React or a modern frontend framework

โ€ข Production-grade experience with both relational (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and document (MongoDB) databases
โ€ข Demonstrated use of AI-assisted and agentic coding tools as a core part of your workflow โ€” not just familiarity
โ€ข Experience designing and owning systems end-to-end: schema design, API design, deployment, and observability
โ€ข Strong fundamentals: distributed systems, concurrency, performance optimization, and software design patterns
Preferred:
โ€ข Hands-on AWS experience: ECS/Fargate, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, CloudFormation
โ€ข Python experience for scripting, data pipelines, or ML/AI workflows
โ€ข CI/CD, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code experience
โ€ข Exposure to the automotive industry, DMS systems, or B2B SaaS in a vertical market
โ€ข Experience at an early-stage startup or founding engineering role
Company:
