Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn't a buzzword - it's a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You're in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
Slack's Frontend Infrastructure team is responsible for the foundation of our desktop web client. We build and maintain the systems that power the user interface of one of the most widely used enterprise communication platforms in the world. We're seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to help lead the next generation of frontend architecture - improving performance, scalability, developer productivity, and reliability at scale. As a technical leader on the team, you'll partner across product, platform, and infrastructure to guide architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and shape the direction of the frontend at Slack.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead cross-functional frontend initiatives to improve performance, scalability, resiliency, and developer productivity.
  • Design, maintain, and evolve core frontend modules - including Slack's WebSocket infrastructure, boot process, Redux/React layers, logging, and alerting systems.
  • Drive key architectural decisions that adapt our frontend infrastructure to meet evolving product and platform needs.
  • Identify and resolve communication and alignment challenges across teams and stakeholders.
  • Represent and advocate for frontend technical strategy at an organizational level.

Required Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience with JavaScript and TypeScript in large-scale applications.
  • Deep familiarity with browser performance profiling and debugging tools.
  • Proficient in React, Redux, and modern web technologies, with an ability to explain trade-offs and architectural complexities clearly.
  • Author code that establishes forward-looking patterns that multiple teams depend on and can contribute to effectively.
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal - with a collaborative and empathetic approach to cross-team work.
  • Passion for mentorship, technical education, and knowledge sharing.
  • A people-centered mindset - you understand that long-term technical success depends on the experience of the engineers who build on your work.
  • A related technical degree required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Expertise in frontend performance: React/Redux optimizations, memory profiling, flame graph analysis, and tuning for production.
  • Experience leading large-scale migrations, upgrades, or frontend modernization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with persistence layers, service workers, caching strategies, and offline functionality.

In office expectations are 10 days/a quarter to support customers and/or collaborate with their teams.
