Role Summary

We are seekinga highly motivated and intellectually curious Senior Analyst to join the Legal Department's Intellectual Property Group.This role is ideal for skilled paralegals and analysts, providing essential support to our IP attorneys in the management and protection of the organization's global intellectual property assets. The position offers opportunities to apply analytical and legal expertisewhile facilitatingefficient, compliant innovation in alignment with enterprise risk standards.

The Senior Analyst plays a key role across IP portfolio management, enforcement, licensing, brand protection, trade secret governance, thirdparty IP and data compliance, and the development of scalable tools, training, and selfservice capabilities that operationalize intellectual property best practices across the firm.

Positioned at the intersection of intellectual property law and innovative marketing and product development, the successful candidate will partner closely with attorneys, technologists, risk professionals, and business stakeholders across the enterprise.The role requires sound judgment, a strong senseof ownership, and comfort navigating evolving legal and technological landscapes within a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

IP Portfolio Management, Enforcement, Transactions and Licensing:

  • Support legal counsel in the management of theT. Rowe Price and its affiliate's intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, copyrights,andtrade secrets.
  • Participate in branding and product ideation initiatives, including conducting trademark clearancesearchesand supporting application, prosecution, and maintenance activities.
  • Supportintellectual propertyenforcement activities, including investigations, disputes, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the execution and lifecycle management of IP-related agreements using approved templates and playbooks, in partnership with counsel.
  • Support transaction attorneys bycoordinating IP review workflows, maintainingplaybooks and approved positions, and escalating novel issues to counsel.
  • Coordinate and manage relationships with external counsel, including oversight of deadlines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Support compliance with third-party intellectual property and data usage requirements, including proprietary and market data.
  • Contribute to thedevelopment and implementation of a comprehensive trade secret strategy, including identification, protection, education, and enforcement.
  • Serve as an initialintake point for IP-related questions, triaging requests,applyingestablished guidance, and escalating matters that require legal judgment.

Job Aids, Templates,&Self-Service Enablement:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance job aids, templates, forms, playbooks, and clause libraries to supportattorneysand business stakeholders.
  • Design and implement self-service solutions that enable efficient business execution while managing intellectual property risk.
  • Support the standardization and scalability of IP-related transactional review processes.

Training, Awareness, and Communications:

  • Design and deliver training programs and innovative educational mechanisms to embed "IP by design" into business activities and transactions.
  • Create and publish internal communications, including blog posts, guidance materials, newsletters, and thought-leadership content, to promote intellectual property awareness.
  • Help shapeand communicatethe organization's intellectual property narrative toencouragestrategic use and protection of IPassets.

Stakeholder Engagement and Network Leadership:

  • Leadand manage the organization's IP Champions Network, fosterengagement, education, and collaboration across business units.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to product, commercial, technology, complianceand legal teams on intellectual property matters.

Process Improvement and Technology Enablement:

  • Leverage AI and otheremergingtechnologies to automate and streamlineintellectual propertyworkflows.
  • Identifyand implementopportunities to improve IP-related processes, controls, and service delivery models.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 5+ years of total relevant work experiencesupporting intellectual property matters in a corporate legal department.

Preferred:

  • Strongworkingknowledge of intellectual property lawsand substantial experience inIPportfolio management, licensing, enforcement, and protection, including trade secret protection.
  • Experience developing job aids, templates, training programs, andstakeholder-facing resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with legal,compliance,product, marketing, and technology teams.
  • Experiencesupportingclientsin the asset management/financial services sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface effectively withcrossfunctionalteams.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to managecompetingpriorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with operational risk and control frameworksina regulated industry.

FINRA licenses are notrequiredand will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

Base Salary Ranges

$87,000.00 - $148,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
$95,500.00 - $163,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$108,000.00 - $185,000.00 for the location of: New York, California

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual's relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
