Job description

Salary:

We are seeking a Senior Fire Alarm Designer who will serve as a technical authority within the organization, driving QA/QC excellence, code compliance, and department-wide fire alarm design standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex fire alarm system design and technical QA/QC reviews.
  • Develop and maintain design standards, templates, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA, IBC, IFC, and AHJ requirements.
  • Review drawings, calculations, risers, battery calculations, and sequences of operation.
  • Support submittals, RFIs, technical clarifications, and constructability reviews.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and field teams on high-level technical execution.


Requirements

  • NICET Level IV in Fire Alarm Systems (FAS) required.
  • Extensive experience designing complex fire alarm and life safety systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of NFPA 72, NFPA 70, and related fire/life safety codes.
  • Strong AutoCAD and fire alarm drafting/design experience.
  • Excellent technical problem-solving and QA/QC capabilities.
  • Field, installation, commissioning, or service experience (preferred).
  • Experience with large-scale or mission critical projects (preferred).
  • Familiarity with major fire alarm manufacturers and platforms (Notifier, Siemens, Simplex, Edwards, etc.) (preferred).


Work Environment and Location

  • Location: Remote
  • Work shift: 08:00 AM 04:30 PM (Arizona timezone)
