Air Force Senior Financial Data Analyst
Qualified AF Senior Financial Data Analyst candidate will assist in processing fund requests through analysis, reporting, and forecasting. The role will include supporting senior analysts and managers in making strategic financial decisions within the organization. This position is part of a broader Workflow Management Team supporting the Construction Tasking Order at the Air Force Civil Engineering Center located at Building 1, Port San Antonio.

AF Senior Financial Data Analyst Responsibilities Include:
  • Management of the Construction Tasking Order SharePoint site
  • Development of weekly announcements using Microsoft Publisher
  • Data entry and analysis
  • Trend Analysis
  • Interact with government personnel
  • Forecasting potential funding impacts
  • Draft formal memos
  • Validate project data and perform updates in various government systems including but not limited, NexGen IT, FM Suite and Microsoft Access
  • Manage Microsoft Outlook Workflow associated with various financial requests
  • Conducting financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting.
  • Preparing financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for government client's review
  • Assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather financial data to support new business initiatives
  • Adhering to financial regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of process improvements within the team
  • Supporting senior financial analysts and managers in various financial activities
  • Assisting with ad hoc financial projects and tasks as needed

AF Senior Financial Data Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
  • 10 years' experience with Air Force Financial Systems and data management/analysis experience
  • Program analysis experience with the AF Design and Construction Program, desired
  • Experience with government automated systems including NexGen IT and FM Suite
  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Ability to multi-task is a must
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Understanding of Planning & Design and Operation & Maintenance funding, including UOA activities
  • Basic understanding of Contract Acquisition execution process
  • Knowledge with Microsoft Suite, highly proficient in Excel and Power BI
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent quantitative and numerical skills
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and derive actionable insights
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
