Senior Financial Analyst

Job Description Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst will work with fee earners to perform various forms of financial analysis. In this role, the Senior Financial Analyst will support the fee earners in pursuit of prospect clients and the servicing of clients from an analytical perspective. This position will report to the Director of Market Operations and receive day-to-day feedback from the fee earners.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Valuations & Underwriting:
    • Assist brokers in evaluating and underwriting commercial real estate investment opportunities, including office, retail, multifamily, and industrial properties.
    • Analyze property cash flows, rent rolls, leases, operating expenses, and capital expenditures to assess investment performance.
    • Develop pro forma financial models using discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, sensitivity analysis, and other valuation techniques.
    • Argus model creation
  • Assistance In Creation of Pitch Materials:
    • Create professional and visually compelling marketing and pitch materials, including offering memorandums, proposals, and broker opinions of value (BOVs).
    • Collaborate with brokers to present key financial insights and recommendations to clients.
  • Market Research:
    • Conduct detailed research on local and regional real estate markets, including tracking economic trends, demographic shifts, and property performance metrics.
    • Maintain and update databases with relevant market data, sales comparables, and industry reports.
  • Client & Broker Support:
    • Work closely with brokers to provide data-driven insights and strategic advice for client presentations.
    • Assist in the preparation of transaction documentation and ensure timely delivery of financial analyses.
  • Collaboration & Reporting:
    • Partner with internal teams, such as marketing and research, to streamline processes and ensure high-quality deliverables.
    • Generate periodic financial reports and support brokers in tracking deal pipelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, investment sales, or commercial real estate.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, particularly using Microsoft Excel and Argus Enterprise.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly and effectively.
