Job Purpose (Describes purpose and [strategic] contribution of the role to business, function or similar.)

Control the machines in the effective and efficient way during the production process. Responsible for documentation of relevant production data. Keep the quality parameters, order and cleanliness (5-S), and safety rules.

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

(max. of 8 duties) 

  • Perform a variety of duties to set up and operate film extruder and auxiliary equipment under the assistance of the Supervisor 
  • Work from shop orders and verbal instructions to determine resin mix, length, width, gauge, core size, and film type from shop order.
  • Optimal starting and adapting of the machine and periphery units
  • Clean dies, extruder screws, resin filters as necessary.  Weigh and record scrap; operate grinders to reclaim scrap; maintain records and reports.
  • Perform assignments in conformance with health and safety requirements
  • Employees must adhere to and support all policies and procedures as they relate to Food Safety
  • Employees have a role in supporting, monitoring, and improving the Food Safety Management System.
