You often work closely with designers and engineers to create these estimates. The primary career qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, usually in construction management, civil engineering, or building science, as well as strong analytical and critical-thinking skills. Most companies provide on-the-job training so that you gain experience while learning about your company’s specific policies.
