Job Title: Senior Epic Willow Analyst
Location: Eden Prairie, MN (On-site)
Employment Type: Contract (W2 through ZipStaff — No C2C or 1099)

About the Opportunity:
ZipStaff is seeking a senior Epic Willow Analyst to support application design, development, and maintenance activities for a leading healthcare organization. In this role, you will lead Epic Willow (and related) workflows, supervise team activities, mentor team members, and drive design, build, testing, and support across small-to-medium application projects, including upgrades and significant workflow enhancements.

What You’ll Do
  • Supervise Epic application design, development, and maintenance activities for applications under direct purview.
  • Collaborate with end users to design Epic Beacon/Willow workflows and recommend corrective adjustments or enhancements.
  • Determine staffing requirements, perform capacity planning, and supervise direct reports to ensure team effectiveness.
  • Serve as a mentor, resource, and primary advisor for team members
  • Lead all phases (design, build, and testing) of small-to-medium application projects, including Epic software upgrades, adoption of new functionality, and significant integrated workflow enhancements.
  • Provide Epic product function expertise for design, build, and testing of assigned modules (including Optime as applicable).
  • Collaborate with end users to design and build the Epic system; make corrective configuration changes or enhancements.
  • Participate in design and validation sessions; ensure documentation, follow-up, and issue escalation.
  • Provide technical and/or clinical consultation, including application configuration; review and evaluate system needs.
  • Develop, support, and maintain system design/build documents and other required documentation.
  • Perform daily monitoring of applications in production and provide support for incidents (including 24/7 on-call coverage as required).
  • Perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and technical issues associated with Epic software.
  • Partner with trainers to develop and maintain application-specific training curriculum and materials.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications; manage changes, prioritize updates, and test new releases.
  • Adhere to organizational standards for system configuration and change control.
  • Build strong relationships with end-user communities, customers, and business partners.

Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years combined experience across Healthcare and/or IT domains, with at least 5 years of Epic configuration experience.
  • Active / current Epic certification in at least one of the following: Willow and/or Beacon.
  • Minimum 4 years of Epic experience or a minimum of 7 years direct clinical experience.
  • Strong Epic application knowledge to build, test, support, and train on Optime and related workflows.
  • Direct healthcare domain knowledge in clinical documentation, surgical workflows, and/or patient flow.
  • Proven ability to lead or supervise team activities and mentor others
  • Ability to work on-site in Eden Prairie, MN.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated history of team management (informal or formal), cross-team communication, and leadership skills.
  • 2+ years of resource management and/or formal team lead experience.
  • Experience with device integration.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
