Department

Technology, Data & Analytics

About The Team

The Data & Analytics team is Justworks' data and AI center of excellence - a connected set of functions spanning business intelligence, data science, data governance, analytics engineering, platform data/ML engineering and AI builders. We've grown significantly over the last several years and continue to build momentum across the business, leveling up maturity in how we deliver insights, govern data, and enable the company to make better decisions. You'll find a highly collaborative & diverse group motivated by craft, shared learning, and a genuine commitment to growing our impact for customers while evolving how we work together for our people. Come build with us!

Who You Are

You're a strategic operator who blends analytical fluency with executive communication and program rigor. You think in systems - how strategy, planning, stakeholder relationships, and delivery mechanisms connect to produce organizational clarity - and you know how to make all of those things work together at scale.

You've partnered closely with senior leaders on high-stakes strategic work: annual planning, investment decisions, business reviews, organizational narratives. You're comfortable co-authoring a strategy memo, pressure-testing an assumption, or framing a functional narrative for a leadership audience. You bring a genuine point of view grounded in data, analytics and AI fluency.

You balance strategic altitude and operational follow-through, equally comfortable identifying where an organization should invest next and running the program that gets it there. You build trust quickly across functions and know how to represent a point of view with credibility when senior leaders are in the room.

Reporting to the VP of Data & Analytics, you'll serve as a thought partner and strategic operator at the center of how DNA plans, communicates, and shows up across the company.

Your Success ProfileWhat You Will Work On
  • Running Operating Systems (35%)
    • Own DNA's quarterly business review process end-to-end; structure, narrative, preparation, and facilitation
    • Lead planning processes that connect DNA's priorities to enterprise OKRs and cross-functional operating forums
    • Build and maintain the mechanisms that keep DNA's strategy visible, measurable, and connected to how the business operates
    • Ensure DNA's planning and review cadences are integrated with Finance, Product, Revenue, and Operations rhythms
  • Leading Special Projects (40%)
    • Partner with the VP to develop, pressure-test, and communicate DNA's annual and long-range strategy - including investment theses, capability roadmaps, and organizational direction
    • Identify emerging opportunities in data, analytics, and AI that can create meaningful business value; synthesizing internal signals, market trends, and competitive context
    • Drive strategic programs that require sustained alignment across multiple functions and senior stakeholders
    • Lead ambiguous, high-impact initiatives that have no clear home - mobilizing teams toward outcomes and filling gaps that fall between existing ownership lines
  • Intangibles: Executive Leverage, Narrative, & Culture (25%)
    • Translate DNA's strategy into executive narratives, pre-reads, and decision frameworks that land at the leadership level
    • Represent DNA's strategic point of view in cross-functional forums with credibility and conviction
    • Build enablement that elevates how DNA leaders communicate, engage with the business, and show up at enterprise altitude
    • Create frameworks and operating artifacts that scale DNA's ways of working across the organization

Qualifications
  • 7-10+ years in strategy, analytics, consulting, or business operations with a track record of working at the intersection of data and organizational strategy

  • Proven ability to write and present strategic materials for C-suite and senior leadership audiences - executive narratives, investment cases, QBR decks
  • Experience owning complex planning and review processes across a function or organization
  • Strong program management skills - able to run multi-threaded, cross-functional initiatives with clarity and accountability
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority across senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where the path isn't always defined
