Senior Director Global Marketing Leica Microsystems

We are seeking a visionary and strategic Senior Director, Global Marketing to lead our global marketing initiatives and make Marketing a highly differentiated and sustainable competitive advantage. This pivotal role is essential for driving customer engagement, and above-market revenue growth across all our businesses and regions through innovative strategies and disciplined execution. You will be part of a broad international Commercial team reporting to Senior Vice President Commercial Operations and managing a global Marketing organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build and execute the global marketing strategy and annual operating plan aligned to company strategy, with clear priorities, KPIs, and governance.
  • Drive market and customer insight (segmentation, VOC, competitive intelligence) to identify growth opportunities and guide portfolio choices.
  • Lead global demand generation and campaign engine (incl. regional localization) to deliver pipeline targets and improve lead-to-opportunity conversion.
  • Oversee digital marketing performance across channels (SEO/SEM, marketing automation, email, paid media, web)
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing global marketing organization; deploy Danaher Business System tools to drive continuous improvement and measurable outcomes.
  • Manage the global marketing budget & operations
JOB PROFILE
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA/advanced degree preferred. Life Sciences background (e.g., Biology/Biochemistry) a plus.
  • 15+ years of senior marketing/commercial leadership in Life Sciences, with demonstrated delivery of global go-to-market strategies and growth results.
  • Strong expertise in demand generation, campaign management, segmentation, and pipeline analytics; hands-on with KPI design and performance management.
  • Deep knowledge of digital marketing and marketing technology (including punchout systems, SEO/SEM, paid media, web, email/automation, content), with a test-and-learn approach.
  • Proven ability to lead and scale global teams (minimum of 25 globally located) in matrixed environments; experience driving organizational transformation and continuous improvement.
  • Strong financial acumen: planning, forecasting, budgeting, and ROI-based resource allocation.
  • Experience partnering with product management and sales to translate portfolio strategy into execution.

This global position requires to travel globally (30-40% estimate).

The annual salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $230,000 to $280,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
