Senior Business Development Manager - OEM
Contract Manufacturing | Sheet Metal & Welding
Pen Manufacturing is expanding its OEM footprint and is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive new logo acquisition within our contract manufacturing platform.
This role is focused on penetrating targeted industrial verticals and securing long term OEM manufacturing partnerships across precision sheet metal fabrication and welding environments.
We are looking for a proven contract manufacturing hunter who understands how to identify, pursue, and close complex OEM opportunities.
This is a revenue generating role with a clear mandate to build and scale OEM accounts.
Key Responsibilities
โ€ข Identify and acquire new OEM customers within targeted verticals
โ€ข Develop and execute outbound prospecting strategy
โ€ข Build executive level relationships with engineering, sourcing, and operations leaders
โ€ข Manage full sales cycle from introduction through signed production agreement
โ€ข Structure pricing aligned with margin objectives
โ€ข Expand newly acquired accounts into multi program or multi site opportunities
โ€ข Partner closely with engineering and operations to ensure manufacturability and delivery alignment
This role works in partnership with the Director of Sales and broader commercial team, with a focused mandate on OEM revenue growth.
Ideal Background
โ€ข 7-15+ years in contract manufacturing sales
โ€ข Direct experience in sheet metal fabrication and welding required
โ€ข Experience in machining environments is a strong plus
โ€ข Proven success acquiring and scaling OEM accounts
โ€ข Comfortable building pipeline through outbound efforts
โ€ข Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, and production constraints
Candidates without direct contract manufacturing experience will not be considered.
Compensation: $80,000-120,000
Commission Bonus: $0-300,000 per year
