Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Design Engineer, Growth based in Netherlands.

The Senior Design Engineer, Growth will operate at the intersection of product design and front-end engineering to transform ideas into high-quality, production-ready experiences.
This role focuses on accelerating experimentation by turning concepts and prototypes into functional React experiences quickly and effectively.
You will help redefine how teams validate ideas, using AI-powered tools and modern development practices to shorten the path from concept to customer impact.
Working closely with designers, product teams, and engineers, you will establish new standards for quality, speed, and collaboration.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical execution with exceptional design judgment and a passion for building scalable workflows.
This is an opportunity to shape a new discipline, influence team practices, and directly improve how products are designed and delivered.

Accountabilities:

As the Senior Design Engineer, Growth, you will be responsible for bridging design exploration and engineering execution while enabling faster, higher-quality product development. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Transforming product concepts, Figma explorations, and AI-generated ideas into production-ready React experiences within short development cycles.
  • Building and owning high-impact Growth surfaces, ensuring excellent interaction design, accessibility, performance, and overall user experience.
  • Establishing and maintaining a high quality standard for AI-assisted product development through reviews, examples, reusable patterns, and best practices.
  • Improving AI-enabled workflows, tools, processes, and prompt libraries to help design and engineering teams work more efficiently.
  • Partnering with design leadership and product teams to define what exceptional AI-assisted execution looks like.
  • Taking ownership of projects from early problem definition through launch, shaping the future of the Design Engineer function.
  • Creating scalable systems and patterns that allow teams to prototype, validate, and ship ideas faster.
  • Measuring impact through both shipped product improvements and improvements in overall team productivity.
  • Collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and product stakeholders to influence product direction and execution.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will bring a unique combination of front-end engineering expertise, design skills, and experience working with AI-powered development workflows. Required qualifications include:

  • Strong experience across both product design and front-end engineering, with a portfolio of shipped interfaces, components, or customer-facing experiences.
  • Advanced proficiency in React, TypeScript, modern CSS, and front-end architecture principles.
  • Experience with animation libraries such as Framer Motion, React Spring, or similar technologies.
  • Hands-on experience using AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, or equivalent solutions, with a strong understanding of how to achieve production-quality results.
  • Strong design sensibility and the ability to balance technical implementation with user experience excellence.
  • Ability to identify workflow inefficiencies and create tools, systems, or processes that improve team productivity.
  • Comfortable working independently, building from zero, and making decisions in ambiguous environments.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to influence designers, engineers, and product stakeholders.
  • Enthusiasm for working with AI, modern product development practices, and user-focused technology.
Benefits:

The role offers a flexible remote-first environment with opportunities for professional growth and meaningful ownership:

  • Competitive salary package, with Poland-based compensation ranging from 31,000 to 40,000 PLN per month.
  • Fully remote work environment with optional access to offices in Kyiv, Warsaw, and Lisbon.
  • Flexible collaboration models, including employment contracts, employment of record, or B2B arrangements depending on location.
  • Work schedule aligned with European time zones.
  • Supportive culture focused on transparency, collaboration, and constructive feedback.
  • Professional and personal development opportunities within a global team.
  • Opportunity to work on a growing SaaS product with strong technical challenges and startup-level ownership.
  • Creative virtual team activities and initiatives designed to maintain strong team connection.
  • A stable yet innovative environment where employees can make a direct impact.
