Job description

Job Summary:
Sweetwater is the nation’s #1 online retailer of pro audio equipment and music instruments, seeking to hire a Senior QA Analyst for their software quality assurance team. The role involves designing test plans, executing tests, collaborating with developers to resolve quality issues, and contributing to automated testing solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for manual and automated software QA testing
• Coordinating ticket assignments and collaborating with QA and CRM/4D & Desktop team to complete assigned tickets
• Test incoming software from Development Teams
• Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, or content
• Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
• Utilize Jira for managing incoming tickets and working with a high sense of urgency to resolve software bugs
• Write and maintain automated end-to-end testing utilizing modern frameworks such as Cypress and languages such as JavaScript & Python
Qualifications:
Required:
• Experience testing web or native applications (MacOS)
• Proficiency in modern software QA best practices (functional and non-functional testing)
• Effective and articulate communication skills
• Strong attention to detail with a creative edge to discover defects under various customer personas
• Team player with excellent collaboration skills
• A passion for growth in learning new technologies and tools to support testing strategy
• Knowledge of Git version-control system
• Understanding of client/server interaction and network protocols
Preferred:
• Familiarity with agile development processes and kanban project-management workflow
• Experience writing and maintaining automated end-to-end tests using modern frameworks such as Cypress, and languages such as JavaScript and Python
